With summer approaching in less than two months, many of us will have extra time on our hands. Summer is the perfect season to pick up a new hobby or get into an old one, and one of my personal favorites is reading.
Reading has become a lost art over the years, with only about 64% of adults saying they’ve read a book within the past year. These numbers are concerning, as reading has many benefits besides pure entertainment. It’s said to strengthen your brain, reduce stress, improve focus, and much more, making it one of the best hobbies for you mentally.
Although negative connotation is connected with reading for many students, when you truly take the time to discover the genres and authors you like, books can be more entertaining than a show or movie. Here are a few recommendations I have for books to read this spring or summer!
