On Saturday, March 14th, 2026, the Olathe North High School boy’s basketball team were shooting for the stars and made it with their win for the state championship. They played Shawnee Mission South for a 67-50 win. They have been working hard all season to get here with 24 wins and only 4 losses. Guard for the team, senior Sam Simmons won Kansas’ Gatorade Player of the Year.
